Pablo G. S.

Pablo loves dancing, he loves the mixtures of styles and states of conciousness that dancing brings.
To get Peace and Healing over the earth, we need to open ourselves to our own Peace and Healing ...
and dancing is such a great way to do it.

Pablo was born in La Plata (Buenos Aires Province-Argentina) in 1965. He finished Medical School at the National University of La Plata in 1990. He never worked as a doctor, he works for holistic health.

His career as a dancer and teacher began with Israeli folk dancing: since 1981 he has taught to groups of children, teens, adults and seniors, including the creation of choreographies for performances and show producing.

He loves travelling and has been to several countries in America, Europe, Far East, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, India and Tibet.

In search of an alternative path for medicine and the spirit of traditional dance, he found Sacred Circle Dance in 1992 through Charles Petersen. Since then he started a period of approach to the dances of the world and the group circle´s work with Felisa Chalcoff and Orlando Zaslavsky.

He learnt from Jorge and France Milchberg, Peter Vallance, Laura Shannon, Gwyn Peterdi, Nanni Kloke and so many teachers. He loves bringing new dances and styles from one side to the other.

By the end of 1994 he moved to the North of Argentina -Jujuy-, where he learned Argentinean folkdances with Pila Revollo; and Andean dances, which are incorporated to the Tinku's repertoire through Mariela and Hugo Cazón.

He facilitates weekly Circle Dance sessions in Salta and Jujuy since 1995, and teaches workshops in several cities of Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico, USA and Europe.

He organized the first Tinku (from quechuan language: "gathering, celebration") in Tilcara, Jujuy in 1996: a weekend of dancing, sharing and living together, experimenting as a group and a family. They've been held since then every July and December in the NW Argentina; and since 1999 in Uruguay as well.

From 1999 until 2010 we held every few years a Mayan Tinku in Palenque, Mexico and this powerful site opened way to other adventures such as the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco, Peru, Israel, and soon India and South Africa.

This kind of events have a different taste, they are more spiritual, challenging and transforming, and they are at least a week long in very powerful Sacred Sites.

Since 2002 Ana Gigena, Anita Calderón and Pablo have directed the organization of the Sacred Circle Dance Summer Festival in Cordoba, Argentina, international event that every year gathers dancers and teachers from Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, USA, UK, and more. In 2007 Sergio Batata Malqui joined this project that happens every 2nd week of February.

In 2009 and 2010 he organized in partnership with Nigel Woodhouse and others, the Stone Circles Solstice Festival, in the Lake district in Cumbria, NW England.

Pablo joined the New England Circle Dance Camp in 2002 and 2003 as a guest teacher and choreographer, and he taught with Friedel at the Summer Course in Rothenburg 2003 and 2009, and at the Easter Sacred Dance Festival 2004 in Germany.

Knowing Friedel Kloke-Eibl made a big difference in his work with the circles and with Dance, it brought a whole different experience, vision and attunement of what Sacred Dance is and means, this creation, this spring of experiences and feeligs that we share. Every day it becomes more evident the power of this sacred tool of transformation, of alignment, of service to Mother Earth, to our ancestors, to our guides and to all who are part of this ancient tradition, so simple and so magical.
